Our plug-in extends the Protégé Ontology Editor by a set of useful features for Aspect-Oriented Ontology Development, such as

  1. Definition of pointcuts using the SPARQL query language.
  2. An inference service extension for aspect-oriented ontologies that infers entailments caused by the presence of aspects.

We are taking the complexity out of Aspect-Oriented Ontology Development with our editing component for Web Protégé that lets ontology developers use aspects as editing contexts which can be switched by the click of a button.

OntoMaven is a set of Maven plug-ins supporting the management and engineering of ontologies from distributed (Maven) ontology repositories. Apsect OntoMaven extend OntoMaven with support for aspect-oriented ontologies.

Semantic Mining of Event Streams

Our ongoing research on semantic mining is producing utility libraries and tools for performing various tasks of pattern discovery.

RoleDisc Plugin for Confluence

RoleDisc is a plugin that provides Role Discovery features within the collaborative software Confluence. Still in a prototype phase, the plugin provides a visual representation of the users who worked on each page as well as a global graph that shows the interactions between users and assigns roles to each one of them. Future releases will also mine the content of the pages to provide deeper insights about the activities of all actors in the system.

Provalets are mobile rule agents for rule-based data access, semantic knowledge processing and inference-based analytics. They can be dynamically deployed as microservices from OntoMaven repositories into standardized container environments. The component-based agent model of Provalets allows encapsulating data intensive streaming analytics routines and rule-based decision and reaction logic at the component (e.g. edge/fog device) level, ensuring, e.g., interface-based data access, information hiding and knowledge privacy.

A big-data solution for enriching and mining event streams. The Web application provides a user-friendly Web-interface that allows the user to create a mining model by defining input streams (From News, RSS Feeds or Tweets), enriching their content with the help of an annotation service and choosing from a rich set of mining tasks to apply on the resulting semantic stream.

DBpedia WebProtege Integration

The DBpedia WebProtege integration system allows the management of the DBpedia Ontology trough an intuitive ontology development interface. It solves many problems in the current Wiki Approach such as mass renaming, version management, user collaboration, detection of inconsitencies etc.
